DESCRIPTION OF PROCEDURE: The extremity is prepped and draped in the usual sterile fashion. An incision is made at the proximal flexion crease of finger. Blunt dissection is carried through the subcutaneous tissue and the digital nerves are identified and retracted. Dissection is carried down to the A1 pully.  Longitudinal incisions are made about 2 to 3 mm apart through the pulley and the central segment of it is excised. The wound is then closed.
